Research opportunity for undergraduate students 大專生研究機會

We welcome enthusiastic undergraduate students that want research experience. Candidates may work with us as recipients of project research scholarship (project learning-oriented assistant, PLOA), Department of Oceanography summer internship (DOSI), or NSTC college student scholarship (NSTC-CSS). For PLOA and DOSI applicants, please ask for an in-person interview. For NSTC-CSS applicants, please send a statement of your research interests and a description of your program of study.

我們歡迎想累積研究經驗的熱血大學生。候選者可能以研究獎助生(學習型兼任助理)、海科系暑期實習生、國科會大專生研究計畫獎助生的身分與我們共事。想要申請一般學習型兼任助理或海科系暑期實習者，請先洽詢面談時間。想要申請國科會大專生研究計畫者，請先遞交你的研究興趣聲明和學習計畫書。

Prospective graduate students 研究生資訊

We are looking for excellent, motivated students from a variety of backgrounds, including students with a bachelor degree in oceanography, environmental science, biology, or biochemistry. Information for graduate school are described by the Department of Oceanography.

我們正在尋找出色且有動機的研究生，接受具有海洋學、環境科學、生物學、生物化學等專業訓練的學士。研究所相關資訊請見海洋科學系網頁(碩士班、博士班)。

If you are interested in joining our research group, please write us a statement of research interests that answers the following questions:

1. What topics in biological oceanography are you interested in? Why?

2. What research methods (field investigations, lab experiments) are you most interested in developing?

3. What are your personal and professional goals that will be addressed by working on a graduate degree? How will joining our lab help you achieve those goals?

4. What preparation or experience do you bring to the program that will help you succeed? This could include specific courses, research experiences, or other work and extracurricular experiences.

5. How do your research interests and goals fit within the work done in our lab? For example, tell us about something you found interesting in a research paper we published.
